Drawing inspiration from Venetian Glass objects, a stark contrast of the beautiful but cold and unfeeling glass to the abundance of implausible life of the organic and flowing mushrooms trapped within.

Following a law dated 1291, most of Venice’s glassmaking was confined to the Island of Murano, as were its glassmakers who were forbidden from leaving under threat of death as their knowledge and skill were so precious. Despite this, they were respected highly and got to do what they loved whilst trapped on their beautiful island.
